On Febuary 17th 2011, Atlanta held its annual Addy awards. In attendance was all the usual suspects in the Atlanta indusrty. But this year was a bit different, instead of a student volunteer and Addy participant, I was a winner. The concepts and design work for Chiclets won a gold spike in Mixed Media. I would like to thank everyone who pushed me to be better and stood by my ideas when others said they where to different.
While walking home on the slick Atlanta roads early Tuesday morning I came up with the idea of ice skating the streets of Midtown. Who would ever guess that night would turn into a viral hit.
With more than 100k views on Vimeo and coverage on CNN, USA Today, The Weather Channel, FOX, and many more. This video has sparked national intrest and caused local debate, all in the name of fun.
On Thursday, September the 16th, The Art Institute of Atlanta hosted their quarterly Portfolio Show for all the graduating students.
This year there was a good amount of students graduating in fields like Advertising, Graphic Design, Game Art, and many more. In the Advertising department Andrew Nendel was honored with the "Best Portfolio" award this year.
